This Week In Food: Amazing French Toast, Beers for Spring, and Worthless PR

Hi guys! Hope your week is going swell. Let's take a look at what happened this week in food!

First, Edwin checked out Eureka! Burger, the chain slated to take over So Cal. He told us to eat the delicious french toast at James Republic, announced the opening of a shared brick-and-mortar between The Burnt Truck and Dogzilla (hell yes!), and shared a way to make your prom really special and creepy – a KFC chicken corsage!

Charles named the 2011 Vintage Oak Aged Ale from Rodenbach the Drink of the Week. He wrote that students from Troy High School stopped Chik-Fil-A from being sold on campus, for now anyway. And he showed us a life hack for cutting cherry tomatoes.

Anne Marie previewed the upcoming Taste of Huntington Beach, shared the opening of Beach City Brewery in May, and spoke with Mark and Angela Dunton of District Wine for her On The Line column.

Gustavo visited Sahuayo Primo in Santa Ana for his Hole in The Wall column and wondered if OC Register food critic, Brad Johnson, will leave OC for LA. Dave examined Growl Juice Bar in Orange. Dominique explained what the hell chia seeds are. Cleo named five perfect beers for spring. Sierra showed us how to make chocolate-chip-cookie-stuffed cinnamon rolls. Sarah took us to Aki Sushi Bar and Bay Plu Thai Restaurant for her Long Beach Lunch. And last, Dave Mau told us why he thinks food PR people are worthless. We're always positive over here. 🙂 But this post ends on a nice, heartwarming note.

Until next time, have a good one, from all of us at Stick a Fork In It!
