One thing writers and musicians usually have in common—besides substance abuse issues—is an all-consuming, aching need to tell a story, share a feeling, get their passion down on paper to (perhaps) share with the world. For one night only, this Winter Solstice, the ever esoteric Writers Garage organization reforms at Alex's Bar to host an evening of authors and musicians, sharing one stage and their written arts. Bands to perform include Best Western (Songs of The Hangmen), The Horseheads and Fifth Story Tenants. Writers scheduled to share readings and other spoken treats include Mark Ebner, Rob Roberge, and Punk Hostage Press authors Iris Berry (also the label's cofounder), Rich Ferguson, Jack Grisham and Michael Marcus.
