Six sex offenders tracked with global positioning system devices were arrested at the last Orange County Fair, surpassing the four arrested at the most recent Los Angeles County Fair and accounting for a large share of 17 such arrests statewide.

The figures were released last week by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, which noted arrests dropped statewide from 35 in 2009.
“The decline in arrests in 2010,” said Robert Ambroselli, the head of Parole Operations, “may indicate sex offenders are getting the message to stay away from public events with children.”
Or, that they've moved into Hello Kitty stores.
