Andrew Edwards, owner of Extron Electronics (and, seemingly, most of Orange County not already owned by the Irvine Company) and the upcoming Ranch steakhouse and restaurant at the Extron headquarters at Ball Road and East Street in Anaheim, has applied for a modification to his existing conditional use permit in order to permit a private dining room, a banquet room and a demonstration kitchen.

According to plans unveiled to the public last Thursday, the rooms will be located on the sixth floor of the corporate office and is intended as a place for cooking demonstrations and lessons from local chefs, including Ranch executive chef Michael Rossi.
Unlike the original construction, which was opposed by local residents, this is expected to go without much in the way of protest.
