There’s an exciting new pizza restaurant! People have told me about it for months, and I finally decided to try Blaze Pizza in Irvine at UCI. The result: awesome! (PoorPizza in PIC)
It’s a ‘build your own’ concept, kind of like Chipotle. For $7.45, you’re off to the races! You start with an 11 inch pizza pie made with the freshest dough, producing Blaze’s signature light-as-air, crisp crust. The experience continues as you move through an interactive assembly line, and create your own custom pizza at lightning fast speed, choosing from over 40 fresh-made sauces, hand-selected veggies and a variety of artisanal meats and cheeses. You can load your pizza with all 40 plus ingredients if you’d like, and amazingly the price always remains the same no matter how many toppings you select.
Pizzas are then “fast-fire’d” in a blazing-hot 800 degree oven and voila! The pizza is ready in a scant 180 seconds! It is so tasty!!!!!!! In case you were wondering, the “PoorPizza” had Spicy Red Sauce, White Cream Sauce, Shredded Mozzarella Cheese, Applewood Crumbled Smoked Bacon, Spicy Italian Sausage, Pineapple, Green Peppers, Sliced Jalapeños, and extra Red Onions. It was cut up into 6 pieces, and I wolfed it down in slightly more than 300 seconds!
Now that I’ve made you super hungry (writing this article is making me beyond famished again), it’s time to give away 10 Blaze Pizzas ‘4 Freeeeeeeee’!!!!! That means 5 of you will win 2 Blaze Pizzas each, 1 for yourself and another 1 for whomever you chose to bring with you to Blaze Pizza in Irvine. Here’s How You Win: Post a comment telling me what type of pizza you would create using the 40+ Blaze toppings. List the toppings you choose, and then come up with a name for your pizza creation. Leave me your email address. The 5 most creative Pizza Posts, as decided by me, win!!!!!! You have until Thursday 1/2/’14 at 6 PM to come up with your signature pizza. Maybe Blaze will even put it on their menu, and you’ll be famous!!!!!!!
Blaze’s toppings: Classic Red Sauce, Spicy Red Sauce, and White Cream Sauce; Shredded Mozzarella, Parmesan, Ovaline Cheese, Feta, Gorgonzola, Ricotta, Goat, and Vegan Mozzarella Cheeses; Chicken, Salami, Classic Pepperoni, Applewood Crumbled Smoked Bacon, Spicy Italian Sausage, Smoked Ham, and Crumbled Meatball; Pineapple, Spinach, Fresh Basil, Artichoke Hearts, Roasted Garlic, Chopped Garlic, Roasted Zucchini, Green Bell Peppers, Grape Tomatoes, Roasted Red Peppers, Sautéed Onions, Red Onions, Banana Peppers, Black Olives, Kalamata Olives, Jalapeño Peppers, and Sliced Mushrooms.
