The Dead Ships

Strumming fuzzy, power-chord melodies, the Dead Ships sing wistful songs. Though their arrangements are sparser, they bear more than a passing resemblance to the Local Natives—but with the raw unpolished veneer of the garage. Singer Devlin McCluskey's vocals soar with the grace of a sonic condor and feature the occasional crack, reminiscent of Cat Stevens.
