After being falsely accused of treason and locked up in a secluded island prison for 14 years, then having his woman stolen by his “best friend,” Dantés is understandably upset. He reacts by using loads of money to pose as the wealthy, powerful Count of Monte Cristo to bankrupt his old buddy and generally destroy his life. Will he win back his woman, too? Or is she one of those ladies who thinks money can’t buy her love?
