The 36-minute film, which is narrated by Emmy-winning comedienne Lily Tomlin, explores the tragic events that have occurred as a result of homophobia, bullying and school violence directed toward LGBT young people. Parents, teachers, students
and professionals from various gay and lesbian service organizations are among those interviewed on camera. The most touching moments are delivered by the mother of one young victim of hatred.
Besides the task force, sponsors of tonight's screening include Huntington Beach's openly gay City Councilman Joe Shaw, Huntington Beach Union School District Board member Bonnie
Castrey and the Orange
County Equality Coalition.
