Between reality television shows like Ink Master and Miami Ink and the increasing popularity of older tattooers like Ed Hardy and Sailor Jerry through clothing brands and other outlets, tattoos are an unavoidable part of culture these days. Just because they’re rooted in more modest beginnings doesn’t mean they can’t be fine art, and there’s a chance to see various forms of tattoo-based art from some of the top local and national artists at Las Lagunas Gallery throughout the month of September. 'Tattoo Flash' features photos, drawings, and paintings of or about tattoos, but no matter the medium, it’s all done by respected artists and photographers like Lisa Foote, Kathy Tiger, and John Stephenson, as well as Laguna Ink Spot’s own Evie Yapelli.
