Tacolandia to Display LA, OC, Baja's Best Tacos on June 23

Do you love tacos? I mean, do you reeeeeeally love tacos? Because if you love tacos, you'll be going to LA Weekly's Tacolandia, a tortilla-wrapped street-food festival on Sunday, June 23 from noon to 5 p.m. in the parking lot of the Hollywood Palladium.

LA Weekly may be the name sponsor for the upcoming taco jamboree, but we claim organizer Bill Esparza as one of our own, as a Weekling in his own right. He's the original tacorazzo and has sniffed out more amazing street food in the Southland than an army of Yelpers.

We down here in la naranja are being represented very ably by Taco María (in its first public cooking appearance since parking the truck), Soho Taco and SOL Cocina.

Also, if you've been salivating over some of the posts in our weekly Tijuana Sí! column but don't have a passport, this is your chance: Doña Sabina Bandera will be bringing her insanely great seafood tostadas from La Guerrerense in Ensenada, Tacos Kokopelli will be there from its stand in Tijuana, and Javier Plascencia will be sending folks from Erizo Cebichería.

Buy your tickets here (note that as of this writing, VIP tickets were sold out). Your ticket includes samples from the 30 restaurants participating.
