Taco Bell announced last week or so that it was cutting about 100 corporate jobs. They can make all the excuses I want, but I feel a fundamental change in the air, one akin to what took down El Torito: America is graduating from Cal-Mex to Mex-Mex. I'll, of course, TOTALLY wax poetic on the subject in my book, but let's turn our attention in the meanwhile to the awesomely named town of Weed, California, where a sign fell: divine symbolism of the fall of the Bell.

A high wind warning is in effect for central Siskiyou County this
morning, with the strongest winds near 60 miles an hour expected near
Weed.
The warning will stay in effect until 4 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 23, according to the National Weather Service.
The south to southeast winds will peak early this morning, then diminish this afternoon, the NWS said.
On Tuesday evening, Weed's Taco Bell sign crashed to the parking lot in the high winds. No one was hurt in the incident.
