Taco Bell Crime of the Week: Did an Employee Vandalize One?

When we get mad with each other at the Weekly, we curse out loud or mumble to ourselves. But those days never happen anymore, because we're happy, happy happy! But I can see how Taco Bell employees could get mad at their employer, damn the whole bite-the-hand-that-feeds-you warning instilled on us since childhood.

That didn't matter to someone in South Carolina.

From something called Rock Hill:

The manager of a Rock Hill Taco Bell told police he thinks a
recently-terminated employee may have tried to break into the restaurant
through the drive-thru window before tossing parts of the menu board
over a fence and stealing wooden signs.

Sometime between 3 and 9
a.m. Friday, someone unsuccessfully attempted to enter the restaurant at
2526 Cherry Road through the drive-thru window, a Rock Hill police
report shows.

But, they didn't stop there.

The manager
said he found eight panels from the menu board tossed over the perimeter
fence. He also noticed that the storage shed door was kicked in, wooden
signs stolen and the entry door and sign damaged with what he said was a
“metal rack,” the report states.

He suspects a recently fired employee may be responsible.
