Taco Bell Crime of the Week: Cop Gets Assaulted by Burrito Supreme!

This is one long, hot summer for the United States–at least if we can measure a country's anger by the amount of Taco Bell “Mexican” food used as weapons. Last week, it was a taco in Michigan; this week? A Taco Bell burrito thrown in Sonora (the California city, not the state where the burrito was probably born). At a police officer.

Word of advice? Never trust a girl named Destiny to do anything right.

Let's go to the tape!

A 24-year-old Sonora woman was booked into the Tuolumne County jail
after she allegedly flung a burrito at a police officer and tried to
spit on him.

Police on Monday said Destiny McMullen was charged
with misdemeanor offenses of assault on a peace officer and obstructing a
police officer.

According to a police news release, a Wal-Mart
employee called police shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday to report that
someone near the Taco Bell was acting strangely and harassing customers.

A police officer arrived and encountered McMullen. As they were
talking, McMullen became upset and “threw her Burrito Supreme at him,
striking him in the chest,” the report said. “McMullen then attempted to
spit on the officer. A short physical confrontation issued and McMullen
was taken into custody.”
