The giant surfboard that set a Guinness world record in Huntington Beach on International Surfing Day June 20–by having 66 people ride it at once–is being taken out of its giant, zip-up surfboard bag.

The 42-foot long, 16-inch thick, 11.5-inch wide, 1,350-pound board–which also set a world record for being the largest ever–is on display through Friday at the U.S. Open of Surfing, also in Surf City.
“This will be one of the last opportunities for public viewing before it is displayed at the International Surfing Museum toward the end of the year in Downtown Huntington Beach,” explains Visit Huntington Beach, the city's visitors bureau. “It will act as an iconic cultural tribute to one of California's most distinctive and beloved outdoor sports, allowing the board to become an attraction in itself.”
The so-called Big Board will be on display at the intersection of Main Street and Walnut from 8 a.m. to sunset. It goes without saying you won't be able to miss it.
