Cats are just about everywhere in this Internet age, to the point where they're revered as celebrities with endless memes around them (we're looking at you, Grumpy Cat) and posted constantly in our social media feeds. But even if you're not fawning over felines as much as the rest of us, you can still enjoy A.R.4.T. Gallery's current exhibition paying tribute to the furry four-legged pals in their Stupid Cute art show. Stupid Cute brings together 26 artists depicting the mysterious, hypnotic and…well, cute side to cats: artist and co-curator Robert “Sticky” Shaw brings colorful cartoon cats in front of a graffitied, collage background, Mary Joy paints a vivid Egyptian queen with her divine kitten, and Jel Ena paints a beautiful, dreamlike girl floating while curled up with her pussycat. There's more to see at this quirky Laguna Beach gallery, which is purr-fect from wall to wall.
Wednesdays-Sundays, 11 a.m. Starts: March 27. Continues through April 26, 2015
