Brazillian artist Clarissa Tossin has used almost every artistic medium there is to explore her fascination with urban spaces and people's daily interactions with them. In her latest solo show Clarissa Tossin Streamlined: Belterra, Amazonia/Alberta, Michigan, Tossin shows us through a video and sound installation the similarities in architectural designs of two random automotive towns in opposite corners of the world: a rubber plantation village in the Amazon forest called Belterra, and a sawmill town in Alberta, Michigan. Building on a previous photographic series on the same topic, Tossin challenges the viewer to figure out what town they're looking at onscreen: Is it Belterra? or Alberta? Check this exhibit out and see if you can figure it out for yourself.
Tuesdays-Sundays, 3 p.m. Starts: Jan. 17. Continues through April 26, 2015
