Starbucks Introduces Its Biggest Drink Size Yet

Starbucks has announced that it is introducing a new size of coffee called the Trenta cup. As “Venti” means “twenty”, “Trenta” means “thirty”; but observant caffeine-junkies will notice that the new container is actually a 31-ouncer.  Conspiracy-theorists might wish this was Spinal Tap reference. After all, these new cups are Venti plus “eleven“.

It's set to debut February 1st in its California stores and averages about 50-cents more than the Venti. However, it will only be used for iced coffee, iced tea and iced tea lemonade drinks.

The web, of course, is having a field day with the news. A few websites are showing off an infographic that compares the different sizes, pointing out the serving amount of this new cup (916 ml) is bigger than the average capacity of a normal human stomach (900 ml).

Yeah, but a lot of things we eat and drink exceeds our stomachs. You had to know a Super-Sized Starbucks cup wasn't far behind.
