Soles4Souls and Sport Chalet have joined forces to collect shoes for victims of Haiti's devastating earthquake.
Soles4Souls, a Nashville-based charity that collects shoes from individuals and footwear companies to give to needy people around the world, has made a commitment to donate more than 250,000 pairs of shoes to the affected areas of Haiti.
Through Jan. 31, Sport Chalet customers can drop off gently worn shoes for the Soles4Souls effort at the chain's 55 locations. Sports Chalet has stores at South Coast Plaza, Irvine Park Place, Beach
Boulevard in Huntington Beach, The Marketplace in Laguna Niguel and
Foothill Ranch Towne Center.
Soles4Souls, which has partnered with charity relief mobilizer Operation Compassion, already has 30 containers of work boots, rain boots, childrenĀ¹s athletic shoes, clothing items and other supplies en route to Haiti.
