As I wrote in a blog post a few weeks ago, I hinted that Sonic's third O.C. drive-in is opening any day now. That day is today. At 6 a.m. to be exact. This Santa Ana store, as I mentioned, is at 3531 South Fairview Street in what used to be a Bill's Burgers.
Judging by the high level of interest, I am assuming that the place will be a veritable glut of cars from morning to midnight. If you can't squeeze in today before their midnight closing time, I'm sure if you wait a couple of months there will be more Sonic's, or actually, more drive-ins. Such is the herd response. Remember frozen yogurt? Remember food trucks?
