Taylor Swift sets End Game in California for Reputation Tour at the Rose Bowl

The Taylor Swift Reputation Stadium Tour continued through the Golden State with its third stop of the new tour at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. Performing two sold-out evenings, Taylor Swift wowed and dazzled the young crowd of over 60,000 fans each evening. Taylor Swift has one of the world’s dedicated and passionate fan bases with some youngest and diverse demographics for an entertainer between two genres. Many of them, driven by their mothers, arrived early to check out the tour merchandise, meet up with other hard-core fans, and photograph with a few surrounding tour photo-ops. An added bonus to arriving early and enjoying the opening performances is being hand picked by Taylor Swift’s mother, Andrea Swift, to join a handful of fans to meet her daughter in the “Rep Room.” Opening up for Taylor Swift are some of the top pop stars on the radio with Charlie XCX and Camila Cabello warming out the crowd. Fun fact: Over 80 trucks are used to move the massive LED stage sets and is one of the largest productions to date for the pop star or any production.  Photographer’s frustrating note: Traffic is bad. Arriving early (3 hours +), tailgating and making an afternoon adventure into Pasadena is the only option for either Friday or Saturday evening’s performances. Local agencies advocate it, but public transportation not even a viable option. If you can ride a scooter, motorcycle, or a bicycle in could be an easier way to get in and out of the Rose Bowl. Photography by Christopher Victorio on May 19, 2018 for OC Weekly.
