The City National Grove of Anaheim was one of 17 non-profits to host Sad Summer Festival, A nation-wide non-profit initiative tour, this past Saturday. For all the bands on tour, this was their only stop in California and was also the last leg of the Sad Summer Tour. The outdoor event featured several food trucks and multiple merch vendors that sold clothing from all the bands that performed that day. Throughout the day several opening bands all played 45-minute sets. Headliners included, The Maine, Mayday Parade and the State Champs. Opening acts included the Doors, Just Friends, Stand Atlantic, Mom Jeans and a Dj set by Jack Barakat, the lead guitarist for All Time Low. Many performers on tour will miss performing every night for this tour, but they all hope to have the 2nd annual Sad Summer Fest next year.

“This Tour is called Sad Summer, and this is the only time I feel sad,” Derek Sanders Lead singer for the band Mayday Parade said during his set.
