CalJam Pop-Up at Hollywood Palladium with secret Foo Fighters performance

The CalJam Pop-Up at the Hollywood Palladium offered fans an opportunity to grab a special performance by Foo Fighter’s Taylor Hawkins side band, “Chevy Metal” perform as well as a special cover band “The Holy Shits.” The pop-up offered fans the first opportunity to grab discounted general admission lawn seats for CalJam and some band merchandise including those for CalJam. The site also featured the Foo Fighters “White Limo” and Dave Grohl’s throne, designed and used on tour during 2017 after breaking a leg during a concert. Fans were delighted to take photos with the White Limo and the Throne, but a surprise awaited for this small and intimate crowd of 1500. During Chevy Metal’s performance, other members of the Foo Fighters appeared and performed on stage. Taylor Hawkins then brought-up Queen’s drummer Roger Taylor to play a rendition of “Under Pressure.” And if you were wondering who “The Holy Shits” were: a cover band doing Foo Fighter songs by all members of the Foo Fighters. And yes, the Foo Fighters did a free concert to a small crowd. The hour long set by the Foo Fighters featured songs “White Limo”, “Watershed”, “Congregation”, “weenie Beenie”, “Low”, “Hey JP”, “Alone and Easy Target”, “New Way Home”. To catch Foo Fighters, Iggy Pop, Tenacious D, Garbage, Silversun Pickups, Greta Van Fleet and other great rock bands, visit www.caljamfest.com for tickets.
