Six People We Met at BlizzCon

Christopher Victorio/OC Weekly
More than 26,000 people united AFK (away from keyboard) at the Anaheim Convention Center last weekend for the geekstravaganza that was BlizzCon 2011. We had a chance to meet some of the devout Internet gamers, who traveled from 50 states and 49 countries to celebrate all things Blizzard Entertainment.
Here's what they had to say:

]

Nelson Quinonez
Age: 30
Hometown: Miami.
Dressed as: A warlock of sorts.
Favorite Blizzard game: World of Warcraft.
How often do you play? Well, I quit six times but I think I'm gonna start playing again.
Biggest geek-out moment: When they were playing scenes from Warcraft I and Diablo I, I had a massive nerdgasm. That butcher scene scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. It brought back all sorts of nostalgia.

Rudolf Ruiz
Age: 34
Hometown: Mexico.
Favorite Blizzard game: StarCraft and World of Warcraft.
How often do you play? One or two hours of StarCraft a day, three or four hours of World of Warcraft a day.
Biggest geek-out moment: Seeing NesTea, the best Zerg player in the world. He's from South Korea and is a big inspiration to all Zerg players. He made new strats that everyone copied.

Julie Mok
Age: 23
Hometown: San Francisco.
Dressed as: A human commander.
Favorite Blizzard game: World of Warcraft.
How often do you play? Four hours a day.
Biggest geek-out moment: Watching the artists on stage since I'm an artist myself. It's also my birthday so this is like my birthday party. It's very personal to me.

Colton Masters

Age: 14
Hometown: Sonora, California.
Dressed as: A human hunter.
Favorite Blizzard game: World of Warcraft.
How often do you play? Two hours every night.
Biggest geek-out moment: Testing out Pandaria. I liked how it's a totally new world. This place is awesome!

Rob Clark
Age: 28
Hometown: Syracuse, New York.
Favorite Blizzard game: I play all three.
How often do you play? I play World of Warcraft two to three times a week.
Biggest geek-out moment: When they announced the pet combat system for World of Warcraft. I always wondered what the sunflower could do or what would happen if the fawn could fight something an win.

“Hybrid Panda”
Age: 24
Hometown: Brighton, UK.
Favorite Blizzard game: World of Warcraft.
How often do you play? Every day, way too much. Probably seven to eight hours a day. It's my career so I've got to.
Biggest geek-out moment: When they announced Mists of Pandaria. I was hoping it would come and then it did come. It made me so happy.
