–Prosecution witness and current Orange County Sheriff's Department employee Sandy Murphy testifying today how Mike Carona and his mistress Debra Hoffman helped devise a lie to mask the assertion that Assistant Sheriff George Jaramillo had been found getting a blowjob in a county vehicle. Later, Carona and Hoffman–who are co-defendants with Carona's wife in a public corruption case–soured on Jaramillo and now count on defense lawyer efforts to distance themselves from their former pal, whom they blame for their legal woes.
