If you were scanning craiglists personal ads and came upon this “men seeking …” one, you'd surely stop and take notice:
a mom and/or her daughter to have sex. I really don't mind what age. Young or underage is cool — like high school and below.
Unfortunately for a 21-year-old with a name that sounds like a Dynasty character, a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children volunteer saw that ad and contacted sheriff's deputies, who set up an undercover sting that resulted in the San Juan Capistrano man's arrest.
Shaw Bruce Warrington was arrested last night at a Starbucks in his hometown on suspicion of meeting a minor for sexual purposes after posting at least 25 craigslists ads specifically seeking minor girls for sex, sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino said.
Here is one such ad:
An undercover investigator, posing as a mom with a 13-year-old daughter, had been corresponding with Warrington since August to arrange Thursday's 9 p.m. meeting, said Amormino, adding that the suspect had offered to teach the young 'un how to get it on.
Warrington allegedly arrived at the coffeehouse with condoms in his pocket and an a older model white van–why are they always older model white vans?–in a nearby parking stall.
After his arrest, which came about through the efforts of the Orange County Child
Exploitation Task Force that includes Homeland Security, sheriff's
deputies and U.S. Postal Inspection Service agents, Warrington was held in lieu of $20,000 bail.
Investigators fear there may be other victims based on the number of minors-wanted-for-sex ads taken out.
