Why, it's the area of 500 W. First St., from 9 tonight through 3 a.m. Saturday.
All vehicles may be checked by officers specially trained to spot impaired drivers, and those suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs will be arrested, the department vows in an advisory.
“Our objective is to send a clear message to those who are considering driving a motor vehicle after consuming alcohol and/or drugs-Drunk Driving, Over the Limit, Under Arrest,” reads the announcement.
Funding comes from a California Office of Traffic Safety grant, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
