It will be in the 500 block of West Warner Avenue, the police department announced.
Funding for the operation comes from a California Office of Traffic Safety grant, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Meanwhile, the Garden Grove Police Department has announced it will deploy officers who will be specifically looking for suspected drunk or drugged drivers on the road this on May 5–a.k.a Cinco de Mayo or Cinco de Drinko.
Additionally, every traffic and patrol officer assigned to regular duty that day “will be on heightened alert to prevent a senseless tragedy due to alcohol or drugs,” says Lt. Ben Stauffer, the Garden Grove Police spokesman.
He notes that Cinco de Mayo has joined St. Patrick's Day as one of the most booze-soaked days of the year, which has prompted increased anti-DUI operations all over.
