San Clemente's the Seea Offers Sexy, Functional Surf Fashion

Ladies, how unsexy are rash guards? If you're left to the realm of the mainstream-surf outfitters found at Jack's Surfboards and the like, they're incredibly frumpy. They've tried to make rash guards flattering, but many results have come up, well, flat.

San Clemente's Amanda Chinchelli has answered the calls of beautiful surfer girls looking for a suit that's both flirty and functional. Her brand, the Seea, allows women the freedom to surf and swim in style and without worrying about their bits and pieces falling out.

The line began after Chinchelli took a surf trip to Costa Rica in 2011. She created a few swimsuits for herself that looked cute but had the structural integrity to hold up to hours of surfing. Women were constantly coming up to her and asking where to find her suits. When she returned, she went to work with husband and business partner Brian Greer.

Seea's suits and rash guards cover a fair bit of skin, but no sex appeal is lost thanks to beautiful prints and flattering cuts. Many gals (and guys, for that matter) may cringe at the mention of the historically matronly one-piece swimsuit. However, there are several suits that can tempt even the most avid skin-barer. The Malibu one-piece has built-in, black-and-white-striped suspenders. It's too sexy to even be classified as geek-chic.

Chinchelli and Greer are enjoying the big swell of attention for their brand and riding out the wave of success—and looking good while doing it, of course.
