Rigoberto Gil in Court After Cops Find Rifles and $2 mil in Coke, Meth in Santa Ana Home

What Glendale police describe as a big-time Santa Ana drug dealer pleaded not guilty in Los Angeles Superior Court Monday to felony counts of possessing methamphetamine and cocaine for sale, transporting the drugs, possessing the drugs and an AK-47 at the same time and possessing the AK, two other assault
rifles and a Colt AR-15 rifle.

On the bright side, Rigoberto Gil has a future as an NRA poster boy.

The 40-year-old was arrested at his home in the 900 block of Logan Street Thursday as part of what Glendale police called an ongoing investigation of a large-scale drug operation. About 60 pounds of cocaine and more than 28 pounds of methamphetamine worth a total of $2 million were seized from Gil's Santa Ana home, according to Glendale police, who added drug paraphernalia was also discovered.

Narcotics officers started watching Gil after he was seen taking part in a drug deal in
Chino, according to police, who first stopped his car in Inglewood, found methamphetamine and $900 in cash after a search and then got a search warrant for his home. The meth was found in a bedroom closet and the coke was hidden under the bedroom floor, police say.

As police continue working the case for possible federal charges, Gil has another court date scheduled for Dec. 20 in LA County.
