Richard Nixon Reacts to Obamacare Ruling

When something big breaks in the news–take an eagerly awaited U.S. Supreme Court ruling on Obamacare, puhleeeez–it's not unusual for newspapers to be bombarded with emails reacting to the same, from all sides.

Since it says “newspaper” on the business license, OC Weekly is not immune to folks fishing for talking-head status. But even we were taken aback by Richard Nixon chiming in.

Take a gander at this just plucked from out inbox, courtesy of the Richard Nixon Foundation:

Dick Nixon, commenting on a presidential policy created years after he died. Is there anything that man could not do?

Actually, that his boosters at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum in Yorba Linda use his political beliefs to ride a current issue and hawk t-shirts, coffee mugs and bumper stickers is remarkable and weird and Romneyesque, all at once.

Can't wait for next week's set pointing out that as crooked as John Mitchell was, at least Congress didn't cite him for criminal contempt like they did to Eric Holder. Can I get that on an apron in time for the Fourth?

Somewhere in Hell a stubbly faced guy is smiling.
