Richard Alan Nolan, a 45-year-old nurse at Western Medical Center in Anaheim, was doing more than sponge baths, blood-pressure checks and playing hockey with bedpans, to hear Anaheim Police tell it.
The Buena Park resident was arrested this morning in the sexual assaults of two male patients at the hospital.

A 23-year-old patient at Western Med contacted police on July 30 to allege Nolan had fondled his genitals.
Subsequent investigation turned up a second alleged victim: a man in his 20s. He had been sexually assaulted while a Western Med patient in June 2009.
Nolan was arrested on suspicion of felony sexual assault around 8 a.m. today at the hospital at 1025 South Anaheim Blvd. and booked into the Anaheim Detention Facility.
Bail was set at $100,000.

CLARIFICATION: The original Anaheim Police statement on the arrest said Nolan is a registered nurse (RN). That is how he was identified in our original post. However, readers tell the Weekly Nolan is a licensed vocational nurse (LVN).
