Name: Milkis
Origin: Korea
Found at: H-Mart, Irvine
Cost: $2.99 for a six-pack + Tax + CRV
Ingredients:
Carbonated Water, Corn Syrup, Sugar, Skimmed Milk Powder, Artificial Flavor, Citric Acid, Phosphoric Acid, Natural Food Color, Vitamin-C, Vitamin-A, Vitamin-D, Contains Milk.
Why I Bought It:
Who could refuse a can that enthusiastically proclaims itself as “Fantastic Feel!” And that's not the only Engrish on the packaging. There's also: “New feeling of soda beverage.” And what of the name? Milkis. Not “milkish”, which would be too literal (because it is milkish) but more like milk-kiss. It sounds so…so…innocent and happy! Much like the bow-tied stick-figure man holding the balloon on the can.

Tasting Notes:
It is indeed “fantastic”! It's a fizzy drink, lightly carbonated and does have a milkiness, and a tangy bite. But what registers is that it actually tastes like ice cream soda run off, which is to say, yes, it feels “fantastic!”
