Peter and the Starcatcher

It’s an award-wining musical play based on Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson’s smash young adult novel based on a classic British book based on a famous Victorian-era play, which is to say an old new story for the stage that’s wonderfully familiar. Peter and the Starcatcher is prequel to the original J.M. Barrie play, a winning origin-adventure story of Boy, the orphan in green tights who learns to fly. Except this Peter Pan has lately been to Broadway, where he and his first girlfriend Molly won Tonys co-starring with pirates, orphans, mermaids, decoys, treasure, Lost Boys, high seas, and oppressive-if-comic colonial misadventure. Molly's a heartbreakingly wonderful mother-figure and tomboy love interest, and best of all, a brave girl who teaches generosity and empathy.
