Paninoteca Maggio Coming Soon To Downtown Santa Ana

We've raved about Paninoteca Maggio before, the little sandwich shop tucked in some benighted corner of a bright-eyed experiment in live-work spaces adjacent to Mother's Market in far north Santa Ana. We've raved about Sharron Barshishat's porchetta, we've raved about his espresso, and we mourned when he had to close temporarily for renovations.

Anne Marie broke the news nearly a year ago that a second location was coming, and this week, signs went up in a tiny space on Main Street between 3rd and 4th, next to El Caminito bar and two doors away from the Little Sparrow. It's still a tiny space, but now the office workers of “Downtown Orange County” will be able to feast on those amazing panini. Barshishat hopes to offer small plates, and there will be more seating than in the current location.

Stay tuned for further information. Meanwhile, go find the original, located just steps away from Mother's Market at 195 E. City Place, Santa Ana.
