A jury has found a 39-year-old Anaheim man guilty of: drilling a hole through a closet to watch and photograph young boys showering and using the facilities; touching the penis of a sleeping 11-year-old boy and recording the contact on video; touching the penis of a fully awake 9- to 11-year-old boy and recording the contact; and possessing tons of amateur and commercial child pornography.

Oscar Manuel Vaquera Accused of Touching Young Boys' Penises, Videotaping Crimes and Possessing Tons of Little Boy Porn

The Anaheim Police Department in 2011 traced a download of child pornography to an Anaheim home where Vaquera rented a bedroom and other non-family members resided. An investigation was launched, and a search of the house produced videos and photographs of graphic child pornography on Vaquera's computer, leading to his arrest.

But the ongoing investigation unearthed something more disturbing. A hole had been drilled from the closet in Vaquera's room to the bathroom, where boys not related to him and residing in other rooms in the home were secretly photographed and videotaped as they showered and used the toilet.

Among the videos was Vaquera touching the penis of the sleeping boy who had visited a resident some time in 2007 or 2008. It was some time between 2009 and 2011 that Vaquera touched the penis of the other boy, who also was not related to the adult. Neither crime had been reported to authorities before Vaquera's arrest for child porn.

Vaquera was convicted Thursday of two felony counts of lewd acts on a child under 14, two felony counts of possession of child pornography, and one felony count of distributing child pornography with sentencing enhancement allegations for lewd acts against more than one victim and substantial sexual conduct with a child.

He could get up to 33 years to life in state prison and an order to register as sex offender for life at his Aug. 8 sentencing in Santa Ana.
