The Orange County Sheriff’s Department DUI Task Force is deploying special patrols tonight aimed at stopping and arresting alcohol- and drug-impaired drivers in South County.
These DUI “saturation patrols” run from 7 p.m. through 3 a.m. Saturday in San Juan Capistrano, San Clemente and Dana Point.
“This is a ‘zero tolerance’ crackdown so drive sober or get pulled over!” warns Deputy Manuel Cruz.
Funding for the operations come from a California Office of Traffic Safety grant, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
