Orange County Great Park Corp. Isn’t Paying Its Bills?

Late this month, a Montclair contracting business filed a lawsuit against the City of Irvine and it’s Orange County Great Park Corp. in hopes of collecting $361,000 after creating a “shade structure” for the park’s dubious balloon ride PR scheme.

According to lawyers for Landmark Fence Co., Great Park officials have refused to pay the bills for contracted work completed in early September.
Though city and park officials have not filed an official reply, the case has been assigned to Orange County Superior Court Judge Linda S. Marks.

City councilman Larry Agran, the career politician who runs Irvine and thus its Great Park operation, has been under scrutiny for numerous questionable financial deals concerning OC’s largest ongoing public works project at an estimated $1.6 billion.
