Classy gals would never get caught lugging a Costco-sized cardboard box of wine to a party. But what if it was pretty?
In an attempt to estrogen up a universal product (booze), a Swedish company has created the Vernissage “bag-in-bag” wine. It's your typical boxed wine with “a woman's touch.” Meaning it's shaped like a designer handbag. Uhhh, really? Have we learned nothing from the Bic For Her lady-pens debacle of last week?
Importer Elliot Stern told NPR that the design, created by handbag designer Sofia Blomberg, is meant to appeal to a classy lady heading out to lunch with the girls or dinner with her significant other. It comes in a chardonnay, syrah, cabernet sauvignon and syrah rosé (a pink bag, naturally). According to NPR, stores in the U.S. should start seeing the bags 'o fun in the next few weeks.
So remember, ladies, when you want to get shit-faced, do it in style!
