The former La Habra resident, whose real name is Natalie Denise Suleman, pleaded not guilty at her Jan. 17 arraignment to one count of aid by misrepresentation and two counts of perjury by false application for aid.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office alleged at the time she failed to report nearly $30,000 in earnings from personal appearances and porn video residuals during the first six months of 2013, noting Suleman had filed for public assistance in Lancaster that January. She received more than $6,600 from CalWORKs and more than $9,800 from CalFresh.

The new count alleges she received more than $9,800 in MediCal benefits.

Conviction on all counts could put her behind bars for six years and four months, according to the DA's office. But prosecutors said before the latest charges came down that they would try to esolve the case without a trial if Octomom can pay the money back.
