Signs went up today on the space formerly occupied by Mariscos Puerto Esperanza on Orange's Tustin Avenue advertising “OC Taco Joint”, to be open near the end of this month.

The signs on the door promise a heavy reliance on a fryer; crispy tacos, tostadas and turkey taquitos. The restaurant has zero Web presence (the only reference to it is a tweet from one of the Vasquez sons a couple of months ago), so the only way to know when it opens is to drive past it… or stay tuned here.
Good luck, Vasquez family. You've got huge culinary shoes to fill in that cursed location.
