Some go for the continuous lineup of music concerts, some go for the nearly impossible carnival games, some for the action sports, some for the blinky-lighted ferris wheel—but we all know the real draw of the OC Fair is the gut-busting array of frankenstein fried foods. New to the fair this year is the anticipated Krispy Kreme sloppy joe, but don't skip over other crazy newcomers like the deep-fried bacon-wrapped pickles, waffle-wrapped hot dogs (which actually sound delicious), something called a cheesy bacon bomb, a macaroni-and-cheese burger, deep-fried lobster, and the bacon-Nutella pizza. We recommend enjoying the up-side-down twister rides before taking on these edible obscenities—and don't forget to bring the antacid.
