Nixon called Warren Commission “a hoax”

The vaults of Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain and John Lennon COMBINED got nothing on those fab Nixon tapes — now on their way to Yorba Linda! Recent listenings revealed that:

* The Dick referred to the Warren Commission report that concluded Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone killing JFK as “the greatest hoax that has ever been perpetuated.”

* After Arthur Bremer in May 1972 failed in his attempt to assassinate presidential candidate George Wallace, Nixon told his chief of staff HR Haldeman and special counsel Charles Colson to leak falsely to the press that Bremer was a supporter of Democratic nominee seekers George McGovern and Teddy Kennedy. “Now, just put that out!” Nixon said, his voice rising for emphasis. “Just say you have it on unmistakable evidence.”
