Nicholas James Tadlock Held in Fatal Stabbing of Bryan Alverto Torres at Party

A 19-year-old man was stabbed to death at a Santa Ana party early Saturday, and a 22-year-old man was later arrested for his murder, according to police.

Cops got the call about 3:35 a.m. to got to 2837 W. Edinger Ave. about a stabbing, and when officers arrived they found Bryan Alverto Torres with several stab wounds to the upper torso.

Orange County Fire Authority paramedics took Torres to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he later died.

“Preliminary investigation revealed numerous subjects were attending a party when a fight occurred in the driveway of the above location,” reads a Santa Ana police advisory. “During the physical altercation, Torres was stabbed.” 

Nicholas James Tadlock was stopped leaving the party and subsequently booked on suspicion of murder, police said.

But detectives are seeking people who had been at the party to get more information about what happened. Any witnesses are encouraged to call homicide detectives at 714.245.8390.
