What You Missed: Miss Double D-Cember, Holiday Projection, Ugly Sweater, Hot Pants Party

We demand a total weekend do-over. Like, right now. Our weekend? Well, our weekend was kind of, sort of filled with T&A. Hooray?

First, on Friday night we headed over to Sutra Lounge in Costa Mesa for their Ugly Sweater, Hot Pants Party, thrown by LocalHipster.com. It being Orange County, naturally, not too many people were willing to show up in ugly Christmas sweaters, but there were several in attendance. Nothing really beats sparkly hot pants though. Check out all the photos here.

And thennnnn, on Friday morning, eight women made their mothers proud and competed for one of the most honored titles of all time: Miss Double D-Cember. Hosted by Kevin and Bean of KROQ 106.7, the event took place at the Slidebar (where else?) in Downtown Fullerton. Check out the photos below–there's no nudity, so it's not exaaaactly NSFW, but have fun ogling anyway.

Coinciding with the First Saturday Artwalk, Downtown Santa Ana presents a play on visual perception with PROJECT: HOLIDAY PROJECTION. Using unique animated modules, multiple projectors illuminates the building façades of 4th St. creating a spectacle of light and shadow morphing the existing building architecture. Chris Alfaro, member of electronic outfit Free the Robots and co-owner of Santa Ana's the Crosby and LA based chamber group the Definiens Project are composing the score in which the animation will sync to. The visual projections will begin 12/5 from 7-9 pm and continue Thursday – Saturday evenings until 12/27. See the full slideshow by Keith May by clicking here!
