What You Missed: Midget Wrestling, OC Pride and Lil Wayne

It's all over! Sleeping in, enjoying a lazy brunch, spending most of Sunday totally unconscious on the couch. So what else did we do this weekend? Midget Wrestling. No, seriously: On Thursday night, a live, action-packed midget wrestling match (their words, not ours!) took place at the Galaxy Theatre in Santa Ana. Franki and the Dolls (who also produced the entire event) also performed. Beware of exposed butts. Click here to see the slideshow by photog Keith May.

So how are we going to top that? Friday night brought a Lil Wayne and Soulja Boy concert and Saturday brought Orange County a LGBT pride picnic in the (Irvine) park.

Lil Wayne (wee-oh-wee-oh-wee!) and Soulja Boy (and Young Jeezy!) brought their live show to the Honda Center on Saturday. The group performed all the hits, but you know our favorite Lil Weezy track has to be the one where he tells Miley Cyrus to holla at him in three years–and that he “exchanges V cards with the retards.” Warms our hearts. Check out the slideshow right here. (Pssst. Speaking of Soulja Boy Tell 'Em, have you seen our blog post in Heard Mentality on top five little known facts about the 19-year-old phenomenon? It's even Soulja Boy-approved!)

It was a day for Orange County LGBT pride–and a perfect day for a picnic in the park. From noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, a family- (and dog-!) friendly gathering took place at William R. Mason Regional Park in Irvine. Though there were a few snags here and there with noise complaints, the event was an overall success. See the photos here!
