Robert Kapilow's What Makes It Great? Series: Beethoven, 7:30 p.m.

Kapilow introduces composers, unravels the beauty of their music and
helps listeners approach and appreciate the works in new ways. First,
the conductor/composer takes apart a musical composition and explores
it with the audience. Next, the pieces are presented in their entirety
by guest performers. A lively Q&A concludes the evening.

Cooking for a Cause, 6:30 p.m.

It's a lovely day for a cook-off. Guests of all ages will join local chefs to
celebrate food, wine and the spirit of dining. Expect an exquisite cheese presentation and
cocktail preperation demonstrations upon arrival. Cooking classes will
take place stove-side with guests sampling all the courses along with
excellently paired wines. Miracles for Kids, Share Our Selves and students of the Art
Institute of California, Orange County and Newport Harbor High School
will benefit from the event.
