Register Report on State Dinner for India Leader Is Bombayboozled

Not that yours truly would want to get into a pissing match with the Orange County Register over typos, but Washington Bureau chief Dena Bunis' “Total Buzz” blog post on Congressman Ed Royce (R-Fullerton) attending President Barack Obama's first State Dinner–in honor of India's Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his wife Gursharan Kaur–was loaded with them.
]

Check these out:

-As expected, the politicians invited were heavy on Democrats, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and even aw congresswoman named Sanchez.

Lugar is not only the ranking Republican on the Senate Foreign
Relations Committee but he and Obama teamed up to try and combat
nuclear weapons proliferation when Obama was a senator

-Headlining was Jennifer Hudson and A.R. Rahman, who won two Oscars last year for his mus.

Now, it could be that Linda Sanchez is not merely a
congresswoman but an awe-inspiring congresswoman–or “aw congresswoman”
for short. And it could be that Obama requires no period after
“senator” because his tenure in the upper house was so short. And maybe
Rahman did win two Oscars last year for his “mus”; no one pays attention to the technical categories, after all.

But check out this caption under a photo of Royce and Singh:

Speaking of Indiana . . . er . . . India, Nick Schou just mentioned over my shoulder that it sounds as if the Register needs to outsource its proofreading somewhere else.
