Sixty California centenarians, including the oldest living working musician in the United States, will be inducted into the “Century Club” at Talbert Medical Group, 9930 Talbert Ave., Fountain Valley, at noon today.
“Gold Circle” inductee and world-renowned ukulele master Bill “Tappy” Tapia, who is 101, is freshly returned from a tour of Japan. Other inductees who are 99 or older are scheduled to attend, as are community leaders. Officials from Talbert, which bills itself as Southern California's leading physician-owned medical group, will be there as well to talk about the tools at their disposal for improving the length and quality of their patients' lives.
