A Media Matters rundown on the key nutbars in the “birthers” movement that claims Barack Obama was not born in the U.S. includes a couple plugs of Spencer Kornhaber's “Birth of an Obsession” June 19 cover story.
The media watchdogs focus in particular on Kornhaber's reporting on Orly Taitz, the Laguna Niguel denist, attorney, real estate agent and queen bee of the birthers, and Wiley Drake, the Buena Park Southern Baptist pastor, homeless advocate, Alan Keyes' presidential running mate in 2008 and Keyes' co-plaintiff in birthers-based lawsuits still winding there way through the courts.
A tip of the Che beret to TheLiberalOC blogger Dan
Chmielewski for pointing us to the Media Matters nod. Now if we could only let Kornhaber know. Spencer! Where the hell is that crazy kid?
