CheapIrvine.com Aims to Make Irvine Cheaper and Greener

A new website called CheapIrvine.com launches today which is aimed at making a university town that is not cheap to live in more affordable–and greener.

The brainchild of five UC Irvine students and/or graduates, CheapIrvine.com convinces merchants who have been doling out paper store coupons to switch them into a digital format. Go to the site now and you'll see savings offered at AMC Theaters, 99 Ranch Market, Strike Orange County bowling center and restaurants such as Kaya, Thanh, Champagne French Bakery Cafe and Paradise Perks Expresso N Tea Bar.

Users click on each coupon they would like to add to their “coupon book” before checking out, and there are also links with each participating business' profile.

“Our fan group is growing big on Facebook,” CheapIrvine.com CEO and co-founder Albert Ko told Clockwork last week. “We're working with over 100+ Irvine stores.”
